Meet the real Zach and Ayla that have inspired the characters of my children's book series The Adventures of Zach and Ayla.
Meet Zach
Zach is my little brother, and Ayla's uncle. When he was a mere 15 months old (and I was six years old) he was in a near drowning accident.

Zach's life has never been easy, but he has the most determined spirit and the most amazing parents that care for him each and every day.
​
Zach has a smile that can light up a room and always laughs at my jokes. He has the sweetest demeanor and is the strongest person you will ever meet.
​
He has gone through more in his short life than most will endure in a lifetime. Through it all he maintains a strong faith in God.
Meet Ayla
Ayla is my sweet and spunky tween! She shines bright like the sun and has the absolute sweetest soul.
​
She is a 6th grade student who loves going to school. She also loves to play with her little brother, Kainen, and is the BEST big sister.
​
Ayla enjoys cheerleading and basketball and playing the clarinet. There's a special place in her heart for her sweet pup, Willow, and her kitties, Maya and Honus.
​
She gives the best hugs, has a heart of gold and a bottomless tummy for macaroni and cheese.
​
Ayla is my everything!
And her baby brother, Kainen, is my all!
Zach and Ayla have had an incredible bond since day one. Their love for one another has inspired my stories. I cannot wait to share more of those stories with my readers!
